MANILA: Eleven people were killed on Tuesday (Dec 17) in two separate road accidents in the Philippines, police and local officials said.

Nine of the victims died when a cargo truck collided with a passenger minibus, locally called a jeepney, on a highway in Cardona town in Rizal province, just east of Manila, police said.
