BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: In the third quarter of 2019, Brunei Darussalam’s gross domestic product (GDP) at current prices was valued at BND4.3bil compared to BND4.5bil in Q3 2018. The oil and gas sector was valued at BND2.3bil accounting for 54% of the total gross value added (GVA).
According to a press statement, Brunei’s GDP recorded positive growth of 2% year-on-year in Q3 2019, at constant prices. The growth was mainly associated by an increase in the non-oil and gas sector by 3.3%. On the other hand, the oil and gas sector increased by 1.0%.
