HONG KONG: An off-duty riot police officer has become the first from the force to be arrested for suspicion of involvement in anti-government-related activities after a group he was part of were apprehended early Friday morning, police said on Saturday (Jan 18).

The 31-year-old police officer was arrested with four other men and three women aged between 14 and 61 who were found in possession of electric drills, posters, scrapers and gloves in Tuen Mun in the densely populated outskirts of the city, trying to erect a "Lennon Wall."
