Labour authorities laud Lao workers’ deal in South Korea

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN): Lao workers in South Korea have benefitted under the same labour law as the Korean workforce following an Employment Permit System agreement between the two countries, according to a leading official.

Under this agreement, Lao workers receive a minimum wage starting at US$1,400 a month as well as social welfare benefits, the same as Korean personnel.
