Chinese community in US donate medical supplies

NEW YORK (Xinhua): Chinese Americans and local operations of Chinese companies are working together to donate medical supplies to hospitals, police stations and local residents to ease shortages help fight Covid-19 in the United States.

Among the donors are 115 restaurant owners from the Chinese American community across the United States who have contributed over US$72,000 and enabled the donation of 20,000 surgical masks, 300 N95 masks, 3,550 protective coveralls and 500 pairs of gloves to multiple hospitals in New York City and one hospital in the state of New Jersey last week, said Vickie Wang who operates a restaurant service-related company in the Chinatown area of Lower Manhattan.
