AUTHORITIES in Tan Phu Dong District, the largest lemongrass growing area in Tien Giang province, are encouraging farmers to expand cultivation of the crop and produce more products from it.
The district is an islet located at the mouth of the Tien River, a tributary of the Mekong, and is severely affected by saltwater intrusion during the dry season.
