UNITED NATIONS: The United Nations and its partners are supporting the Myanmar government to ensure the safety of frontline health officers battling Covid-19 (coronavirus), said a spokesman on Friday (May 14).

A project by the UN Office for Project Services, with the support of donor governments, is providing personal protective equipment to the country's health ministry, health care providers and communities, said Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
