QuickCheck: Is the nitrite level of sausages and meat products in Malaysia generally safe?


EARLIER in March, the Thailand Food and Drug Administration issued a report on sausages containing an excessive amount of nitrites, as it had conducted tests after 14 children in the country suffered from a blood disorder called methemoglobinemia after eating sausages.
