LIPIS: For decades the family of Abu Johar Sudin has been producing a tasty natural sweetener made from the sap of palm tree called gula kabung (palm sugar) in Kampung Peruang, but only locals knew of it.

But now, the business, which had been in operation for the past 45 years, had won the hearts of customers outside the district after it was vigorously promoted online using various social media platforms.
