RECENTLY, a video went viral on social media and it is claimed in the video that the government will be offering seven attractive perks for the rakyat such as a reduction of the price of RON95 petrol to RM1.50 a litre and a new price for 5kg of cooking oil at RM23.
Are these claims - and the other five in the video - true?

Communication and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil denied the claim in a post on his official Facebook account on Sunday (Jan 1), saying that all the claims in the video are false.
He added that the public should check the validity of such news and lodge a report with the social media service and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission immediately if the news turns out to be false.
