SOCIAL media is in a twitter over news that a Form Five student was attacked with a cement compactor in Glenmarie by a man suffering from hallucinations.

According to police, the suspect was a guard who confessed to attacking the student at a mall in Glenmarie on Feb 11.
"The suspect, a 34-year-old security guard, confessed that he assaulted the victim because he was hallucinating at the time," said Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim in a statement on Sunday (Feb 12).
He added that the incident happened at 6.30pm.
According to ACP Mohd Iqbal, the student was a Filipino student from a nearby international school.
The student was in the midst of setting up a remote control tank circuit with several others before he was attacked.
He suffered injuries to his head after the security guard swung a cement compactor at him and was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
"The suspect was caught by members of the public and handed over to police shortly after," said ACP Mohd Iqbal, adding that the suspect would be remanded for four days.
ACP Mohd Iqbal said the case was being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt.
