A Facebook group called Saham Bank Rakyat 2023/2024 has been claiming to trade in Bank Rakyat shares. The public can supposedly buy and sell Bank Rakyat shares simply by contacting a phone number listed in the group. Is this true?

According to the Information Department, the group is fake and Bank Rakyat has never allowed open trade of its shares.

"Do not be fooled by this," the department said on Facebook on Tuesday (Feb 28).
