RECENTLY, a video went viral on TikTok claiming that a grey-coloured SUV had 397 outstanding traffic summonses and that no action had been taken so far.

According to a post on its Facebook page, the police said that the claim was false.
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Deputy Director (I) DCP Mohd Nasri Omar said investigations found that there were no pending summonses as claimed.
"The video is not true and there is no pending lawsuit," he said in a statement.
He advised the public not to misuse social media or any communication network by issuing untrue and misleading statements as it was an offence that could be prosecuted under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities or network services.
On Tuesday (May 9), a TikTok user posted a video that went viral of a grey SUV and claimed that it had 397 outstanding summonses.
The video also claimed that no action had been taken against the owner of the vehicle.
