SOCIAL media was abuzz with users sharing a video clip said to show a man perched on the branches of a tree nearly 20m above the ground, and firemen attempting to rescue him.
It was said that the man was mentally disabled and that the incident occurred in Seberang Jaya, Prai.

The Fire and Rescue Department rescued the man after he was spotted high up a tree at Jalan Todak 4 in Seberang Jaya on Tuesday (July 18) morning.
Butterworth Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Khairul Nizam Abu Hassan said they received a distress call at 8.05am.
"When the team arrived at the scene, they saw the man at the top of one of the trees," he was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian on Wednesday (July 19).
He added that six firemen were deployed to bring the man, who was 20m above street level, to safety using fire engine ladders.
"He was later handed over to the police for further action and the operation ended at 9.36am," added Khairul Nizam.
