The Finance Ministry says it is aware of messages circulating about RM100 monthly cash aid to be credited into the MyKad of recipients and says it is fake news.

"Be wary and do not be easily fooled by such news on social media," the Ministry warned Malaysians in a post on its official Facebook page.

It also advised the public to follow the Finance Ministry's official social media channels to ensure that they get correct and legitimate information.

"If you're not sure, don't share," the Ministry added.
