A VIDEO of a man with a knife holding a woman in a headlock has gone viral on social media.
The incident in the video, which shows the man slashing the woman, is believed to have taken place in Kuala Lumpur. Is this true?

According to Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor, the incident occurred on Jalan Radin Bagus, Sri Petaling around 2.30pm on Monday (Aug 14).
"The victim, a foreigner, was approached by a local man who suddenly held on to her and pointed a foldable knife at her.
"Luckily, he was quickly arrested by a few policemen from the Sri Petaling police station," ACP Amihizam said in a statement on Tuesday (Aug 15).
The local man, whom the victim did not know, had nine drug and crime related prior offences on his criminal record.
The suspect was also under the influence of drugs during the incident.
The victim, who was hurt in the chest by the knife, lodged a police report on the matter a few hours after the incident.
