In the letter, certain steps that need to be taken to obtain halal certification are outlined.

VERDICT:
FALSE
Jakim, through its Halal Management Division, says it is aware of the screenshot circulating on social media.
In a Facebook post, Jakim said that the allegations are false and that the department had never issued or released such a letter to any foreign company or factory.
"The alleged steps outlined in the letter are not true and do not reflect the stict halal certifications currently being implemented," Jakim said in its post.
