RECENTLY, a TikTok video showing a man physically abusing a child went viral. It was recorded by someone who seemed to be hiding behind a vehicle.
The video shows a man grabbing a child and flinging the kid to the ground before picking the child back up again. The camera dips and swerves as the person recording the violent act tries to be inconspicuous and not get caught.
Is it true that the incident happened in Kedah, as alleged in the comments on the video?

According to Kulim OCPD Supt Azizul Mohd Khairi, police are aware of the video and believe that the man in it is the child's father.
"The police have received a video recording from the TikTok application showing a man beating a child.
"The incident is believed to have happened in Lunas, Kulim, Kedah.
"Acting on the information, on Nov 2, at 2pm, a team of officers and members of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Kulim district police headquarters arrested a man in Padang Serai to assist with the investigation,” he said.
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code and Section 18A of the Domestic Violence Act.
