THE morning rush hour is just a fact of life that many Malaysians just have to deal with. While most spend their time listening to radio or the news, some treat the long lines of idling cars as a hunting ground for them to prey on unsuspecting commuters.
Is it true that two snatch thieves were caught on camera smashing a car window to make off with a woman's purse in Gombak?

In a statement on its Facebook page, police from the Gombak District headquarters confirmed that the incident occurred at Jalan Desa 5, Desa Jaya in Gombak last Tuesday (Nov 14).
"A 25-year-old woman reported that two men approached her vehicle on a motorcycle while she was on her way to work," said Acting Gombak OCPD Supt Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasri in the statement.
"They then proceeded to smash her side window in order to grab her purse from within her car," he said.
A video of the incident which has since gone viral, and it can be seen that the woman's car was stuck in rush hour traffic at the time.
"Efforts to locate the suspect are underway and the case is being investigated in accordance with Section 395 of the Penal Code," he said.
