Generally, any announcements of cash aid tend to go viral – especially if they're said to be coming from the government.
Recently, a message went viral on the communications app Telegram; it is claimed in the message that the government will be rolling out a new aid scheme in which RM 1,000 will be banked into MyKads.
Is there any truth to this?

In a post on its official Facebook account, the Finance Ministry said that this is in fact false.
It then urged the public to be careful and to not be easily swayed by such claims in the messages they receive.
"Do not click links that you are not sure of. Head to the Finance Ministry's official social media channels for the latest valid information. If you are unsure, do not share it," it added.
