DISPUTES between family members are unfortunately a part of life, and can lead to viral videos when such disagreements get heated and are aired in public.

Recently, a video of a fight went viral and it is claimed that it happened in Klang, Selangor and was between two family members over access to a stall. Is this true?

VERDICT:

TRUE

South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong confirmed that such an incident happened, saying that it took place at the Pandamaran Sports Complex on Dec 31.

He said that a police report had been lodged, adding that the fight began after the complainant had opened several stalls at the grounds of the sports complex.

ACP Cha added that the complainant's mother had scolded her aunt for placing items in a way that blocked access to their stall.

"This led to a verbal fight and then pushing, and the fight was broken up by other family members and stallholders in the area," he said.

ACP Cha then said that no one was injured in the fight and added that the police have already recorded the statements of six people in the course of the investigation.
