ALTHOUGH studies have indicated that playing video games may not necessarily lead to aggressive behaviour, a video has gone viral showing a violent incident at an Internet cafe in Perak where two gamers were attacked by a group of knife-wielding men.

Police are currently investigating a fight that broke out at an Internet cafe in Buntong in Ipoh that saw two men injured.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said police detected a video clip that had gone viral on the incident on Tuesday (May 28).
ACP Abang Zainal Abidin said the incident saw two men, including a 24-year-old complainant who lodged a police report and his 18-year-old friend, injured by five armed assailants.
"The incident is believed to have occurred at about 10.15pm on Monday (May 27).
"The complainant and his friend were playing games at the premises before being attacked by five men who were armed with knives," he said in a statement.
In the one-minute 30-second video clip, the assailants, who wore motorcycle helmets, went into the premises and set upon the complainant.
The complainant could be seen being hit with a helmet and also trying to fight back.
"The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting," he added.
ACP Abang Zainal Abidin said those with information about the incident are requested to come forward to the police, call the district control centre at 05-254 2222 or contact investigating officer Insp Muhammad Izzat Ayob at 014-321 8969 to help with the investigation.
"The people are also urged not to speculate on the incident to avoid confusion and anxiety to the community and interfering with the investigation," he added.
