As such, it is not unheard of for violent incidents to follow in the wake of a football match.

Recently, a viral video of people throwing rocks at a bus emerged along with the claim that it shows a bus of Perak football supporters being attacked following a match in Petaling Jaya.

Is this true?

In a statement, Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulnizam Jaa'far @ Ismail confirmed this and said that two people were arrested in connection with the throwing of rocks at a bus carrying Perak football supporters as it travelled along the NKVE northbound recently.

"Based on a viral video circulating on X, the suspects were detained at a petrol station along the NKVE by Perak supporters and were then handed over to the police," he added saying that the suspects detained are 17 and 20-years-old.
