Johor police confirmed the incident and said they are tracking down the man seen hitting a car with a piece of wood in the viral video.
Seri Alam OCPD Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the police received a report from a 23-year-old local man, whose car was attacked in the incident, which took place at about 11pm on Sept 2 along Jalan Masai Lama.
"According to the complainant, an unknown individual acted aggressively by hitting the passenger door of his car using a piece of wood.
"We have opened an investigation paper and the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code (for committing mischief that causes loss or damage)," he said in a statement here.
Supt Mohd Sohaimi said the police are still tracking down the suspect and urge those with information to contact the investigating officer, Sjn Mohd Norhidy Usin Abdullah at 013-773 5711.
In the 54 seconds video, the suspect in a black car was seen overtaking the complainant's car before stopping in front of it.
The suspect then came out of his car while wielding a piece of wood and started hitting the complainant's car.
