Yes, you could.
Built in 2003, Aquadom was the centrepiece of the Radisson Collection Hotel at the DomAquarée in Berlin for nearly 20 years.
Standing at a height of 16m, the fascinating vertical tank was recognised by the Guinness World Record as the world’s largest cylindrical aquarium.
The tank was constructed from 41 acrylic panels and had a diameter of 11m. It cost 12.8 million euros to build
It held 1 million litres of saltwater and was home to some 1,500 fishes.
The hotel employed a team of scuba divers to conduct daily feedings as well as clean the tank.
Disaster however struck in 2022, when the tank burst and completely flooded the lobby of the hotel and adjacent street.
A majority of the fish were killed in the accident and two people were hospitalised.
Authorities ruled out foul play and the accident was believed to have been caused by material fatigue.
