The police are investigating the video that went viral showing a man smoking at a petrol station at Damansara Damai.

Petaling Jaya deputy OCPD Supt M. Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said the one-minute long video showed the man smoking a cigarette while walking to his car at the petrol station.

"He was told off by other patrons and proceeded to act aggressively by driving his car dangerously and blocking the car driven by the individual who told him off," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 11).

An investigation paper has been opened under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving recklessly and dangerously, he said.

"We urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact investigating officer Insp Muhammad Hisyam Azih at 017-737 8704 or Petaling Jaya district police headquarters at 03-7966 2222," he said.
