This happened as claimed, with Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit confirming the robbery and saying when contacted on Saturday (Dec 28) that the investigation is ongoing.
The robbery occurred when the road to the mall was closed early ahead of the state-level New Year countdown on Dec 31, with the CCTV recording showing the robbery taking place at about 3.30pm on Friday (Dec 27) when the mall was packed.
The one-minute, 21-second video showed two armed robbers in caps, black jackets, and masks entering the unit, which was staffed by two women.
