VIRAL videos have surfaced online recently, showing a man menacingly wielding a parang and hammer, sending other people running helter-skelter for their safety.
It is claimed the incident occurred in Sandakan and the armed man injured five people during his rampage.

According to Sandakan district police chief Assist Comm Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek, five people were injured after a 29-year-old Malaysian man armed with a parang and a hammer ran amok in a Sandakan restaurant.
He said in the incident on Friday (Jan 3) morning, the suspect injured two men and three women.
They were sent to the Duchess Of Kent Hospital for treatment and are now in stable condition.
ACP Abdul Fuad said police who arrived at the scene managed to subdue the suspect and seized the weapons he was using.
He added that the suspect was not injured and taken to the police station for further investigation.
