Israel to replace all intercity road lighting with smart, energy-efficient LED bulbs

JERUSALEM, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Israel will replace all intercity road lighting with smart, energy-efficient LED bulbs, the National Transport Infrastructure Company (Netivei Israel) said on Tuesday.

The government-owned company said that replacing the 106,000 bulbs on Israel's roads is expected to save electricity and maintenance costs, improve service to road users, and reduce light pollution.
