CAIRO, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Iran saw its death toll over the COVID-19 exceeding 21,000 on Wednesday, while Turkey imposed new restrictions on social activities in 14 provinces as the country's total coronavirus cases reached 262,507.

Iran's death toll over COVID-19 climbed to 21,020 on Wednesday after an overnight registration of 119 new fatalities, Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education announced.
