Roundup: Iran's COVID-19 cases surpass 382,000; Iraq reports highest daily cases

CAIRO, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Iran's total number of COVID-19 cases rose to 382,772 on Friday with the addition of 2,026 new infections; Meanwhile, Iraq reported 5,036 new cases in its highest daily increase.

Iran's death toll climbed to 22,044, said Sima Sadat Lari, spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education. A total of 320,308 people have recovered, while 3,695 remain in intense condition.
