Morocco foils illegal immigration attempts, arrests 168

RABAT, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Morocco announced on Saturday that its navy has foiled some illegal immigration attempts in the Mediterranean and arrested 168 migrants from Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Moroccan Navy Coast Guard, on patrol in the Mediterranean, intercepted on Wednesday and Thursday, several makeshift boats, kayaks and jet skis, with 168 would-be immigrants onboard, official news agency MAP quoted a military source as saying.
