ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with visiting U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad in Rawalpindi on Monday and discussed the Afghan peace process, the Pakistani army said.

An army statement said Bajwa and Khalilzad discussed "regional security situation, Afghan peace process with particular reference to border management and way forward for lasting peace in Afghanistan" during the meeting at the army's General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. (Pakistan-U.S.-Afghanistan)
