Africa's confirmed COVID-19 cases pass 2.85 mln: Africa CDC

ADDIS ABABA, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the African continent has reached 2,854,971 as of Tuesday, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) said.

The continental disease control and prevention agency said in a statement that the death toll from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has reached 67,986 as of Tuesday afternoon.
