VALLETTA, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela said Sunday that the authorities' decisions and the people's respect of the anti-coronavirus restriction rules had played a key role in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are living in heaven, even at this moment.... This is because of the decisions we took but also because the people obeyed and made sacrifices," Abela said while speaking at a Labor Party event on Sunday.
