Cameroon army frees eight hostages in North region

YAOUNDE, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Cameroon army said on Sunday its troops have rescued eight hostages in the country's North region.

The rescue mission was carried out by Cameroon's elite force, Rapid Intervention Battalion after gunmen kidnapped eight people including women in Baoudi locality of the region overnight into Sunday.
