HOUSTON, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Wednesday reported an increase of 3.645 million barrels of crude oil in U.S. inventories for the week ending Sept. 2.
Analysts expected a drop of about 0.733 million barrels for this week.
