NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices dropped on Friday as demand concerns gained an upper hand on the market.
The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for December delivery decreased 1.56 U.S. dollars, or 1.9 percent, to settle at 80.08 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery lost 2.16 dollars, or 2.4 percent, to close at 87.62 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
