Portuguese TAP to cancel 360 flights on strike days

LISBON, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Portuguese airline TAP said on Wednesday that it would cancel 360 flights scheduled for Dec. 8-9 due to a strike of the National Union of Aviation Flight Personnel (SNPVAC).

The decision was to avoid "uncertainties for customers," said the airline in a statement. It estimated losses of around eight million euros (8.3 million U.S. dollars).
