LIMA (Reuters) - Peru's opposition-controlled Congress on Thursday declined leftist Prime Minister Anibal Torres' request to hold a confidence vote, as the executive and legislative branches in the Andean nation continue a long-standing political battle.
The head of the Congress, Jose Williams Zapata, said the conditions had not been met for such a vote to be held.
