ANKARA -- Rescue teams continued to spare no effort to search for more survivors trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings on Thursday, though hopes faded quickly on the 4th day after two massive earthquakes jolted Türkiye.

The death toll from the devastating earthquakes climbed to 17,134 in Türkiye, with 71,806 injuries as of Thursday, according to Türkiye's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). (Türkiye-Earthquakes-Casualties)

ADEN, Yemen -- Yemen's defense minister received on Thursday a military delegation from the Saudi Arabia-led coalition in the country's southern port city of Aden, according to the state-run Saba news agency.

Mohsen Muhammad Al-Daeri, along with local Yemeni government officials, held a meeting with the high-ranking Saudi delegation on strengthening cooperation on the combat readiness of local pro-government armed forces. (Yemen-Saudi Delegation-Military Meeting)

KHARTOUM -- Visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday expressed Russia's support for Sudan's efforts to resolve the country's political crisis without foreign dictations.

"We support Sudan's efforts to achieve stability. We support the national dialogue among the Sudanese away from foreign dictations," Lavrov told a joint press conference with Sudanese Acting Foreign Minister Ali Al-Sadiq at the airport of Sudan's capital Khartoum. ANTAKYA, Türkiye -- Chinese and Turkish rescue teams pulled out on Thursday another two survivors from the ruins of collapsed buildings in quake-hit Antakya, a city in the southern Turkish province of Hatay.
