RIYADH -- Saudi Arabia's Energy Ministry announced on Sunday a voluntary oil cut of 500,000 barrels per day from May till the end of 2023.

The production cut is in coordination with some other countries of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC Participating Countries in the Declaration of Cooperation, said the ministry in a statement. (Saudi Arabia-Oil Output-Cut)

TEHRAN -- Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Sunday the number of its officers killed in recent Israeli attacks on Syria's captial Damascus rose to two.

In a statement published by the IRGC's media arm Sepah News, the victim was identified as Meqdad Mahqani Jafarabadi, an IRGC officer serving as military adviser in Syria. (Iran-Israeli Air Strikes-Syria)

AMMAN -- Jordan and Iraq on Sunday announced an open tender to build a joint economic city on their border.

The city is scheduled to span an area of 22,000 dunums (2,200 hectares) on the Jordanian-Iraqi border, according to a statement by Jordan's Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply. (Jordan-Iraq-Joint Economic City)

JERUSALEM -- Israeli military intercepted an unmanned aircraft that entered Israeli airspace from Syria on Sunday night, according to a statement by the military.

The Israeli Air Force sent helicopters and fighter jets to track the unidentified aircraft, which was crossing into Israeli territory from the direction of Syria, it added. (Israel-Syrian Aircraft-Interception)
