U.S. dollar ticks up

NEW YORK, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rose in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, increased by 0.34 percent to 103.191 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
