AMMAN -- Jordan on Tuesday stressed the need for the international community to take practical and immediate steps to create necessary circumstances for the voluntary return of Syrian refugees.

KHARTOUM -- The United Nations on Tuesday said at least 60 people were killed, and 250 others injured during the ongoing clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Nyala, the capital city of South Darfur State in western Sudan.

Preliminary reports indicated that approximately 10,000 families, about 50,000 people, fled their homes, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in its latest update. (Sudan-Clashes-Nyala-Casualties)

TEHRAN -- Iran on Tuesday unveiled a new domestically-developed drone with an operational radius of 2,000 km with a top speed of 210 km/h, the official news agency IRNA reported.

The drone Mohajer-10 was unveiled in a ceremony during an exhibition of Iran's latest defense industry achievements held in the Iranian capital of Tehran on the occasion of National Defense Industry Day, the report said. (Iran-Homegrown Drone)

ISTANBUL -- About 600,000 buildings in Istanbul, Türkiye's largest city, were at risk and could collapse in a possible earthquake, Türkiye's Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Mehmet Ozhaseki said on Tuesday.
