U.S. dollar ticks up


NEW YORK, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar advanced in late trading on Thursday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.45 percent to 103.624 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
