RAMALLAH -- A young Palestinian was killed in clashes with Israeli soldiers in the northern West Bank city of Tubas, Palestinian security and medical sources said Friday.

"Abdul Rahim Ghannam, 36, was killed by a live bullet fired by an Israeli soldier," the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a brief statement without providing further details. (Israel-West Bank Clashes-Killing)

BEIRUT -- Around 111 Lebanese judges on Friday announced their cessation of work amid a shortage of funds to guarantee the regular operation of Lebanon's judiciary bodies, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

ANKARA -- Türkiye launched an air operation targeting "terrorists" in the Qandil and Asos regions of northern Iraq early on Friday, the country's Defense Ministry said in a statement.

DAMASCUS -- Nine soldiers of government forces were killed on Friday in an attack carried out by an extremist group in Syria's northwestern province of Latakia, a war monitor reported.

The attack against military positions in the al-Kurd Mountains in the countryside of Latakia was carried out by a group affiliated with the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), an ultra-radical group previously with ties to al-Qaida, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
