Shandong Taishan beats Kaya FC in AFC Champions League

MANILA, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Thanks to second-half goals from three Brazilian players, Shandong Taishan sealed a 3-1 win over the Philippines' Kaya FC in the AFC Champions League group stage on Tuesday.

Despite playing away from home ground, Shandong emerged as the dominant side. However, their shots failed to turn into goals as the first half ended 0-0.

In the 62nd minute, Brazilian midfielder Moises Magalhaes received Zhang Chi's pass and earned a penalty for Shandong. He converted the spot kick to hand Shandong a 1-0 lead.

In the 71st minute, Matheus Pato intercepted the ball from Kaya's defender and send it into the goal.

Eight minutes later, Javier Gayoso pulled back a goal for Kaya.

In the injury time, Brazilian striker Cryzan Barcelos netted from close range to secure the victory.

In other games, South Korea's Incheon United defeated Japan's Yokohama F. Marinos 4-2, South Korea's Ulsan Hyundai beat Tailand's BG Pathum United 3-1, Japan's Kawasaki Frontale downed Malaysia's Johor Darul Ta'zim 1-0.
