U.S. stocks close higher

NEW YORK, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended higher on Wednesday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 163.51 points, or 0.47 percent, to 34,991.21. The S&P 500 added 7.18 points, or 0.16 percent, to 4,502.88. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased by 9.45 points, or 0.07 percent, to 14,103.84.
