Helicopter crashes in Uzbekistan killing entire crew

TASHKENT, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- A Mi-8 helicopter crashed in Uzbekistan's Samarkand region during a training flight Friday night, killing the entire crew, the Ministry of Defence said.

A helicopter of the Uzbekistan Air Force and Air Defence Forces crashed when it was performing a training flight at the Kattakurgan training ground, killing the entire crew, the ministry said in a statement.

The statement did not specify the number of people in the crew.

The Ministry of Defense conveyed deep condolences to the family members and relatives of the crew, the statement said.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
