U.S. stocks close mixed

NEW YORK, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended mixed on Friday as trading was shortened on the occasion of Thanksgiving Day holiday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 117.12 points, or 0.33 percent, to 35,390.15. The S&P 500 added 2.72 points, or 0.06 percent, to 4,559.34. The Nasdaq Composite Index decreased by 15 points, or 0.11 percent, to 14,250.85.
